Ivan Vazquez graduated cum laude in economics from Harvard before building a career at the intersection of finance and the consumer world — from Barclays and Blackstone to Candlestick Capital Management, where he served as a hedge fund analyst investing in public consumer and fashion companies.
In that role, Ivan spent years in regular dialogue with management teams behind some of the most culturally relevant brands in the world — On Running, Abercrombie & Fitch, Adidas, Gucci, and more — evaluating their strategies for driving sales growth, igniting brand heat, and VIP community building. A constant theme, from CEOs and CFOs alike, was a striving for efficient marketing spend with a clearly positive, quantifiable ROI.
Ivan co-founded Après Soho after identifying a clear gap in the marketplace — the luxury trunk show format has not been leveraged towards wider, aspirational retail despite being one of the most powerful marketing engines available to any retail brand. A single evening operates as both a top and bottom-of-funnel marketing driver; seeing vastly higher conversion with guests spending multiples more than during a typical retail day while generating organic social media and curated brand content that fuels engagement for months to come.
He brings that investor's lens to every client relationship and planned activation, translating marketing initiatives into language that brand leadership responds to.
